Both sedans are mated to 5 speed manual transmission. You might wonder why it gets a 5 speed instead of single speed like other EVs. The idea of 5 speed here is to provide higher efficiency in upper gears. If you need more torque then user can switch to lower gear otherwise for better efficiency user to stick to higher gear. Being electric users can run this car in higher gear all the time however it will take sometime to get to higher speeds.
