Maruti Suzuki Ciaz 2020
Maruti Suzuki officially entered in sedan segment with the launch of Ciaz in 2014. Since the launch Ciaz has been selling in numbers and till date Maruti Suzuki has sold more than 220,000 units in India. New Maruti Suzuki Ciaz 2020 has been launched and it is now BS6 compliant. Ciaz has been a flagship product and now Maruti Suzuki has added new variant Ciaz S (sport) to the existing line up.
Exterior
The new Ciaz BS6 remains the same as BS4 version. It gets LED projector headlamps with DRLs and fog lamps on the bumper. The grille with chrome lines and redesigned body colored bumpers with chrome gives it a premium look. From the side, it gets body colored ORVMs with turn lights and alloy wheels. At the rear new Ciaz gets LED tail lamps with chrome line on the tailgate. The overall look of this sedan is similar to BS4 version.

Interior
The new Maruti Suzuki Ciaz 2020 gets most of the features similar to BS4. The Dashboard gets 7 inch Smart Play touchscreen infotainment system and supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The semi digital instrument cluster with controls mounted on tilt steering wheel makes it easier to operate. The Ciaz also gets height adjustable seats for Driver and electronically adjustable ORVMs. The cabin is very spacious and the interior is finished in dual tone except for Ciaz S variant. The Ciaz S variant gets black treatment in the cabin.
It also gets features like Cruise Control, Powered windows, Start Stop button, Auto AC, Rear AC vents, Keyless entry and Rear Sunshade which provide more comfort and convenience. The cabin is very spacious and is comfortable for five passengers. The seats provide good under thigh support and there is ample amount of knee and head room. The boot space is 510 litres. Maruti Suzuki cars tend to have more features than its competitors and Ciaz is not an exception.
Safety and Specifications
New Maruti Suzuki Ciaz BS6 now gets Dual Airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX Child Seat Anchorages and Rear Parking sensors as standard. It also comes with Rear Defogger, High Speed warning, Seat Belt reminder and Anti-theft Security System as standard. Reverse Parking Camera is available only in selected variants.
The new Maruti Suzuki Ciaz BS6 is now available only in Petrol version. With BS6 norms, the company has discontinued Diesel variants. The new Ciaz BS6 gets a K15 Smart Hybrid 1.5L 1462 cc Petrol engine which produces 102 PS @ 6000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque @ 4400 rpm. This engine is BS6 compliant and comes with 5-speed MT or 4-speed AT option. The fuel capacity is 43 litres and mileage of 20.65 (MT) and 20.4 (AT) KMPL.

Maruti Suzuki Ciaz BS6 is offered in 8 variants. The price for Ciaz BS6 base variant starts at 8,31,974 lakh and goes upto 11,09,974 lakh ex showroom for top variant.

Review
The new Maruti Suzuki Ciaz BS6 variants prices are on an average 20k higher than BS4. Ciaz is a good sedan and offers great comfort thanks to its massive dimensions. It gives a good mileage and more safe than before. It comes with rich set of features than its competitors and has good resale value thanks to Maruti’s Sales and Service network. However, on the cons side Maruti has discontinued Diesel variant and also engine seems to be a little bit underpowered for this big sedan. Overall it is a good value for money car which has good mileage, less service cost and more safe than before.
