35 lakh Kia Carnival Destroyed in a Major High Speed Accident
Here is the first major reported accident of Kia Carnival which ramped into the divider. As visible in the picture, the front of the big MPV is completely destroyed. Unfortunately the co-passenger expired and driver has sustained serious injuries. It is not yet known, how much was the speed of the big MPV but as pictures suggest, it was going in high speed.
Kia Carnival Safety
Kia Carnival is not yet tested at Global NCAP. The Australian made Carnival gets 5 star safety rating at Australia NCAP safety test. It is very interesting to note that initially the base model of Carnival was only equipped with 2 air bags however, recently company has started offering 6 airbags for base variants as well. Without any safety ratings, it would be quite hard to comment on the build quality of this massive MPV.
Kia Carnival is offered in five variants starting from 25.99 lakh for base and goes upto 34.99 lakh ex showroom. On an average, Kia manages to sell 270 Carnival’s per month. Given its demand, it is high time that Kia tests these MPV at Global NCAP. The company recently launched Carens and for that as well, safety ratings are not out yet.
