Indian automobile sector is going through a major transformation. The demand for cars is increasing exponentially. There are many cars which are expected to launch in 2022. As we enter in February, today we bring you the four cars which are expected to launch in this month.
Kia Carens

Kia Carens has created a lot of buzz and is expected to launch this month. Carens is based on the same platform as Hyundai Alcazar however it is longer in dimensions. Carens will be offered in both six and seven seater configuration. It will come in both petrol as well as diesel options. or petrol, Carens will be offered in 1.5 litre and 1.4 litre turbo charged engines. The naturally aspirated 1.5 litre unit produces 113 bhp and 144 Nm of torque whereas the turbo charged 1.4 litre unit produces 138 bhp and 242 Nm of torque. The engine will be mated to 7 speed automatic transmission.
On the other hand, The 1.5 litre diesel will produce 113 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. Diesel variant will be offered in both 6 speed manual and automatic transmissions. Carens will also be first in segment to offer six airbags, EBD, ABS and hill climb and descend control as standard.
MG ZS EV facelift

The MG ZS EV facelift has been spotted multiple times testing across all India. The facelift variant has been already launched in European market and is expect to launch in India this month. The facelift version will get ADAS features such as lane assist, collision warning, electric stability control, ABS with EBD and many more. The big difference would be the battery pack which will be upgraded to 51 kWh. This will increase the range of ZS. The range is expected to be between 450-500 km range on a single charge. Real world mileage could be anywhere between 300-350 km.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift

Maruti Suzuki has been testing Baleno facelift rigorously and is expected to launch in february. Maruti Suzuki Nexa have begun accepting bookings for the new Baleno. The company has already begun production at its Gujarat plant and launch is expected on 20 february. The new Baleno is completely redesigned from exterior and interior. The rear end gets a L shaped tail lamps with redesigned bumpers. The interior is also expected to get new infotainment screen featuring Android Auto and Apple Carplay.
The new Baleno will be same 1.2 litre petrol engine producing 83 hp and 90hp with mild hybrid tech. In future Baleno will be also get CNG variant. The new Baleno is expected to get manual as well as AMT instead of DCT.
Skoda Slavia

Revealed in 2020, Skoda Slavia is expected to launch in March 2022. It will replace Skoda Rapid and will be sold in three bold trims namely Active, Ambition and Style. The Slavia will be powered by 1-litre turbo petrol engine producing 115 hp and 250 Nm of torque. It is also expected to get a 1.5 litre Petrol engine in higher trim. In terms of transmission, it will be offered in both Manual as well as Automatic transmission.
Skoda Slavia will get state of the art features such as ventilated seats, infotainment screen, automatic climate control and many more. In terms of safety, it is expected to get 6 airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors. Skoda Slavia will be priced from INR 10 – 18 lakh ex showroom.
