~4000 km OLA S1 Pro Owner's Review - Upgraded from Ather 450X
Bookings for OLA Electric scooter opened in 2021 and deliveries of S1 Pro have begun all across India. Today we bring you across an owner’s (Scooter owner: Purvesh) review which was done by Rachit Hirani & his team and video was uploaded on their MotorOctane channel. A huge shout out to their team. So coming on the review part, the owner has clocked 3923 km on this S1 Pro within couple of months. It is quite commendable given that S1 Pro is electric.
OLA S1 Pro Real World Range Reported by User
As reported by user in the video, the S1 Pro offered a real world mileage of 125-135 km on a single charge. The owner was quite happy about the S1 Pro and doesn’t feel demotivated to take it swing for long distance. The owner has also travelled to Lonavala from Mumbai which was 89 km and still range of 40 km was left. The owner also manage to generate extra 15 km of range through regenerative braking while returning Mumbai. It is quite evident that, S1 Pro with its ARAI mileage of 181 km is one of the major selling point compared to its closest rival Ather 450X.
The range of electric scooter often depends on the style of riding. The electric scooters are meant to be driven with smooth and linear acceleration. If abused, the battery can drain faster than expected. The owner has done his homework and knows how the regenerative braking works and uses it very efficiently. This helps to maximise the range and also slow downs battery draining.
OLA S1 Pro Online Service Experience
The owner faced issue about boot not opening and was not able to charge the scooter. Purvesh called OLA’s road side assistance team and within 2 hours they showed up. The service team took the scooter and found the wiring was chewed by rats due to which scooter malfunctioned. The total cost of changing the wiring was 9000 Rs and was claimed under insurance. The whole process was paperless and within two days, the scooter with full charge was delivered to owner.
OLA S1 Pro Cost & Verdict
The owner based out of Maharashtra received the state subsidy which help him to get this scooter for 1,09,000 Rs on road. Its very interesting to see that owner manage to ride this scooter upto 4000 km within span of two months. So far there were know downfalls reported by the owner and seems to be very happy with the product.
