30 Black Force Gurkha Delivered to Indian Airforce
Force Gurkha is again back in news and its all for the good reasons. The only competitor for Mahindra Thar, Force Motors has considerably gaining traction among Indian buyers. Recently India Airforce took delivery of 30 new black Force Gurkhas. This is a very proud moment for Force Motors. Force Gurkha is offered with only single variant which is priced at 14.10 lakh ex showroom.
So, Why Private and Public organisations prefer Force Gurkha over Mahindra Thar?
Despite being less on features and being underpowered, why organisations prefer Force Gurkha instead of Mahindra Thar. Well there could be two reaons. First, Gurkha comes with a standard aluminium top instead of fibre. And second is the second row captain seats. The fibre tops are not resistant to weather throughout its lifetime. The government officials also need comfort on the second row which Thar clearly lacks on this front.
Force Gurkha gets a 2.6 litre, 4 cylinder diesel engine which produces a 89.2 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with 5 speed manual transmission. Currently Gurkha is only equipped with 3 door and 5 door variant will soon be launched.
Force Gurkha 5 door updates
The Gurkha 5 door variant has been spotted numerous times and is expected to launch in coming months. The 5 door variant is also expected to carry forward the same 2.6 litre engine. The 5 door variant will come in 6 and 7 seater configuration. The third row seats are also expected to get captain seats as seen in multiple spy shots.
