The sub 4m compact SUV segment is very competitive. Hyundai Venue competed with likes of Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Ford Eco Sport, Renault Duster and Tata Nexon. The surprising part is, it was able to beat Brezza a couple of times in the monthly sales figures.

Hyundai Venue was introduced in India in both Petrol and Diesel options. Launched at a price of just 6.5 lakh in 2019, it came with a wide variety of features which were first in the segment. The compact SUV quickly became successful and was sold in numbers. In Feb, 2020 Hyundai updated the Venue with BS6 emission norms. When other manufacturers when discontinued Diesel variants, Hyundai still offers BS6 compliant Diesel variant which gives it edge over its competitors.
