Hero Splendor Plus is one of the most famous and successful commuter bike in India. The bike is sold in numbers and is known to most of Indians thanks to its mileage, reliability and affordability. Hero Motocorp has updated the Splendor+ now with BS6 norms making it more efficient and effective.
Design & Features
Splendor Plus has always been known for its minimalistic yet simple design elements. Over the years, the design of Splendor+ has remain same and frankly, it doesn’t need any change. The bike gets upright seating position with tall handle bar. The big telescopic forks at front and adjustable hydraulic suspension at rear provide comfortable ride quality.
The bike has always been one of the best commuter bike and it features list is isn’t very long. It comes with Alloy wheels and Hero patented i3S start/stop which improves the fuel economy. The company has introduce new Red-Black paint scheme which is exclusive to BS6 variant only, however, it continues to get Halogen headlamp and traditional bulb type indicators & tail lights.
Specifications
Splendor Plus now comes with a BS6 compliant single cylinder 97.2 cc, 4-stroke, Air cooled engine which produces a power of 8 PS @ 8000 rpm and torque of 8.05 Nm @ 6000 rpm. The engine is mated to 4-speed manual transmission and has mileage of whooping 80.6 kmpl.
In terms of brakes, it comes with Drum brakes and is equipped with Combined Braking System (CBS).
