Yamaha Motors India has been updating their line up with latest BS6 norms. The company’s most sold product FZ series, FZ-FI and FZS-FI has been launched with latest norms. The FZS-FI gets two new paint schemes Darknight and Metallic Red. Both the variants come with a similar engine and dimensions, however, FZS-FI gets more color options and is a bit costly compared to FZ-FI.
Design
The FZ-FI and FZS-FI are both naked street bike and have muscular styling. At the front it gets LED headlamps and Negative LCD Instrument cluster. The chrome ducts at both the side along with alloy wheels gives it sporty look and increases the road presence. The bike in terms of style looks quite striking and has good road presence.
Specifications
Both FZS-FI and FZ-FI get same BS6 compliant Air cooled 149 cc, 4-stroke, 2-valve engine which produces 12.4 PS @ 7250 rpm and torque of 13.6 Nm @ 5500 rpm. It comes with Fuel injection and has a top speed of 109 kmph. The fuel capacity happens to be 13 litres and has a mileage of 45 kmpl.
In terms of Safety, the bike now comes with Single Channel ABS with 282 mm Disc at front and 220 mm Disc at rear. Telescopic front suspension and Monocross rear suspension with 120mm travel provides a comfortable ride on bad surfaces.
