Design & Features
Hero’s another commuter bike Super Splendor is now BS6 compliant. The bike is more refined than before, thanks to BS6 norms. The Super Splendor BS6 comes with dual tone colors and eye catching graphics. The seat is 45mm longer giving maximum comfort to the rider. Hero has equipped all BS6 bikes with plenty of sensors such as Engine Oil Temperature Monitoring, Intake Air Temperature Sensor, Vehicle Speed Sensor, Bank Angle Sensor and so on. All these sensors someway or the other make this commuter bike more efficient.
Hero’s new i3S technology and Oxygen & Crank Position Sensor provide exact fuel to the engine and thus improving overall fuel efficiency. The company has kept the design of this bike simple and more practical oriented. The rider gets an upright seating position and enough ground clearance to tackle rough surfaces. The instrument cluster happens to be analog and the road gets illuminated by its traditional Halogen headlamps.
Engine
Super Splendor BS6 is powered by Single Cylinder, 4-stroke, 124.7 cc engine producing a power of 10.89 PS @ 7500 rpm and torque of 10.6 Nm @ 6000 rpm. Heavy duty transmission is handled by 5-speed Manual gearbox. The Air cooled engine gets Hero’s flagship Advanced Programmed Fuel Injection system.
The Hero’s new vertical engine generates 16% more power than its BS4 variant. Being a commuter bike, the fuel tank capacity is 12 litres and has a mileage of 68 kmpl*. This gives you a range of 500+ km on a single full tank which is good for remote areas with inadequate fuel stations.
Suspension & Brakes
The new Super Splendor BS6 comes with a Telescopic Hydraulic at the front and 5-step Adjustable Hydraulic shock absorber at the rear. The front suspension is 14% more longer, providing more comfort on rough surfaces. The 18 inch black alloy wheels further enhance its overall look and Tubeless tyres add more convenience.
Braking is handled by 240 mm Disc at the front and 130 mm Drum at the rear. BS6 onwards, all Hero’s bikes are equipped with the Integrated Braking System and this bike is no exception. The bike has a seat height of 799 mm which is comfortable for short as well as tall riders.
