Bajaj Pulsar RS200 was launched in India in 2015. It was one of the highly anticipated bikes of that year. The new design language was a talk of a town and became quite popular among racing community. The company has now made Pulsar RS200 BS6 compliant with more refined engine and good braking performance.
Pulsar RS200 Design & Features
RS200 is a sporty looking motorcycle with aggressive and bold design. The dual tone color with graphics enhances its overall look. It gets a faring which nicely covers the engine and big muscular tank. Split setup seats give good riding position which allows to tour on long highways. At the rear, the bike comes with LED tail lights which is unique and gives it a distinct look.
From the features point of view, Pulsar RS200 gets a Dual Projector headlamps and LED DRLs at the front which is unique in its own. The instrument cluster happens to be Semi Digital borrowed from its sibling NS200 which supports functions like Trip Metre, Low Fuel/Oil Indicator, etc.
Pulsar RS200 Engine Specifications
The bike comes with a new refined BS6 compliant Triple Spark, 4 valve 199.5 cc DTS-i engine producing a power of 24.5 PS @ 9750 rpm and a torque of 18.7 Nm @ 8000 rpm. Heavy duty transmission is handled by 6-speed Manual gearbox. The engine is liquid cooled and comes with Fuel Injection System. The new engine has less vibrations and more efficient, giving you a linear power delivery.
The liquid cooling helps the rider to cover the distances and fuel injection improves the overall fuel economy. The Fuel capacity happens to be 13 litres and has a mileage of 35 kmpl. This gives you a range of 400+ kms on a single fuel tank. Pulsar RS200 BS6 is one of the fastest Pulsar from the company. It does 0-100 kph in just 9.92 seconds and has a top speed of 140.8 kmph.
Pulsar RS200 Suspension & Brakes
RS200 gets a Bajaj’s renowned Perimeter frame which helps cornering and keeps the bike stable. For the better ride quality, it comes with Telescopic fork with Anti Friction Bush at the front and Nitrox Mono Shock at the rear. The 17 inch alloy wheels along with Tubeless tyres look great and provide good grip. The seat height of 810 mm is comfortable for short as well as tall riders.
The Dual Channel ABS prevents skidding and gives the rider a confidence while riding the bike. The twin disc brakes does a good job of braking and keeps the bike in control.
