Many companies are busy updating their existing line ups with BS6 norms. TVS have also updated Jupiter with BS6 norms. The BS6 compliant now gives 15% more mileage and comes with Eco Thrust Fuel Injection System.
Design & Features
TVS Jupiter comes with a typical scooter design with ample of space on the floorboard. The LED headlamps and neatly integrated indicators at the front gives it distinct touch. The side fenders get chrome embossing of Jupiter and aluminium grab rails. Designed as a unisex scooter, Jupiter offers 21 litres of under seat storage and 2 litre front glove box along with 12V charging socket making it more practical for daily usage.
The instrument cluster is semi digital based on a variant and comes with black alloy wheels which further elevates the overall look of this scooter. Jupiter Classic variant is equipped with tinted visor, chrome mirrors and pillion handle with backrest. The external fuel fill adds more convenience specially when under seat storage is filled with valuable items.
Engine
TVS Jupiter BS6 is powered by 4 stroke CVTi 109.7 cc engine which produces a power of 7.47 PS @ 7000 rpm and torque of 8.4 Nm @ 5500 rpm. The engine gets an air cooling and is mated to CVT Automatic gearbox.
TVS Jupiter has one of the highest fuel capacity of 6 litres and a mileage of 56 kmpl giving you a range of 330 kmpl on a full tank.
Suspension & Brakes
The High Rigidity Underbone frame keeps scooter intact and provides much needed stability. In terms of suspension, it comes with Telescopic fork at the front and 3-step adjustable hydraulic at the rear. Braking is handled by 130 mm Drum at both ends with Sync Braking Technology providing optimum control of the scooter. Owing to BS6 norms, TVS no longer offer Disc brakes.
