Hyundai Santro BS6 Champagne Gold Color

Hyundai Santro

Hyundai Santro is a very familiar car in India. It is the car which helped Hyundai to establish its foot in India. The car became an instant hit in India and Hyundai became second biggest manufacturer in India after Maruti Suzuki. To keep the legacy forward, the company recently launched its BS6 compliant Santro in the Indian market.

Santro Exterior

Hyundai has worked really hard to keep the old look of Santro intact and incorporated most of the modern changes. The hatchback gets a nice cascaded black grille, which looks simple and attractive. The nicely fitted big fog lamps and newly designed swept back headlamps enhances its looks. Body colored ORVMs, door handles with simple design makes it hard to believe that it’s an entry level car offered by Hyundai. The hatchback comes with 13 inch wheels and at the rear it gets tail lights, high mounted stop lamp & dual tone bumper with reflectors.

Being an entry level car, the company has designed the hatchback quite good and looks elegant.

Santro Interior

Hyundai has done good work in the interior and has loaded the hatchback with plenty of features. It gets a Dual tone treatment in the cabin and a big black dashboard in the front. The doors have a good amount of storage space and arm rest. The 17.64 cm touchscreen infotainment system supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with Voice recognition. The steering is electric power and has mounted controls for Bluetooth and other functions. The instrument cluster happens to be Analog along with 6.35 cm Multi Information Display (MID) providing information like Distance to empty, Service reminder, etc.

In terms of comfort and convenience, it gets a Keyless entry, AC vents at the front as well as rear and 12V charging port. The seats are comfortable for 5 person and rear seats can be splitted, thus increasing the boot space. Amount of features varies based on the variant like the base variant Era Executive misses out on infotainment system.

Santro Safety Features

The new Santro BS6 gets plenty of safety features based on the variant. The standard features like Driver Side Airbag, ABS with EBD, Auto Door Lock, Reverse Parking Sensors, High Speed Alert, Seat Belt Reminders and Engine Immobilizer are offered across all variants.

Some of the higher variants are also equipped with Reverse Parking Camera, Speed/Impact Sensing Auto Door lock, Passenger Side Airbag and Central Locking. Santro BS6 scored a 2-star safety rating at Global NCAP, which is acceptable for an entry level hatchback.
